Poster 6: COVID impacts on Children and Youth (2021-22 School Year)

Summary

This poster explores the results of See Us, Hear Us 2.0, which expands on the information gathered in the first wave of research on mental health in children and youth in Saskatchewan. It explores how COVID has affected education delivery (online / in-person) across the province, reports impacts of of COVID-19 on mental health (ie 64% felt life was worse than before the pandemic), and rates of anxiety, depression and ADHD. They also identify major problems in accessing needed assistance, including lack of access, financial cost, uncertainty about where to go for help, and high levels of fear / discomfort related to asking for help.
